Carlson Lewine, Ph.D. received
her Doctorate from Temple University in
Psychoeducational Processes specializing in Organization and Adult
Development. She has an MA in Industrial Psychology from Fairleigh
Dickinson University and a BS in Psychology from Pennsylvania State
University. The breadth of her career ranges from being a manager,
consultant, business owner, entrepreneur, elite athlete in two sports,
martial arts instructor and coach, to non-profit organization leader.
As co-owner of Achievement Alliance Corporation, Nancy has applied her
knowledge, skills, and vast experience to her consulting practice. A
gifted
facilitator/coach, Dr. Lewine has been helping people improve their
business, personal, and sport performance for more than 25 years, long
before executive and personal
coaching became a fad. Packing a wealth of experience into those years,
Nancy's consulting style focuses on application, not simply education.
Her forte is translating sound theory into results-oriented practice.
Dr. Lewine's consulting experience crosses many lines of
business from
start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations. Her work consistently generates
significant
results: assisting a regional mortgage banker become an East Coast
presence, growing from
$75 Million to $250 Million in annual revenues within two years;
helping a home healthcare
organization grow revenues from $0 to $40,000 per month in six months;
and assisting a
regional family recreation business to turn a $500,000 loss into a
$250,000 profit in 15 months. Nancy's coaching credits include
mentoring men and women for senior level executive positions;
developing effective executive teams positioning their companies for
significant revenue growth; and facilitating balance in successful, but
overly stressed key performers.
Dr. Lewine's dissertation, Leader-Follower Dysfunction: Follower
Responses and
Organizational Consequences, examined the nature and effects of
dysfunctional behavior in the workplace. She co-authored the book, Make
It Happen, a primer on
goal-setting for organizations. Dr. Lewine was an assistant editor of
Active Training. She wrote Goalsetting: Still the Best Kept Secret of
Success and co-authored New-Employee Orientation: Becoming Acquainted
With a New Company for this same publication. Her publishing credits
also include a series of performance improvement articles in Taekwondo
Today.
Nancy's accomplishments are also reflected in her sport careers. As
co-captain of the PSU women's basketball team, she led the team to 13th
place in the
nation. She received a contract to play professional women's basketball
in the first women's league, the WBL. As a martial artist in her 40's,
she garnered a
multitude of State and National Championship titles spanning her 7 year
competition stint. Both Dr. Lewine and her son are 3rd Degree Black
Belts in Taekwondo. She is a highly regarded instructor/coach having
taught students ranging in age from 3 to 60! Now retired, Nancy keeps
up her fitness regime in the gym working out regularly.
Dr. Lewine follows her own advice applying her knowledge and expertise
to her academic, consulting, and sport endeavors. Dr. Lewine forged her
experience and
expertise into the range of services she currently offers Goal
Achievement, Performance
Improvement, Management, Life/Energy Systems Balance, Personal
Leadership, and Assertive
Communication. She effectively challenges others to raise their level
of self-respect,
set their own personal standards of excellence, and take action.
Dr. Lewine's mission is to help businesses and individuals
grow,
develop, and evolve; to teach people how to set and achieve goals to
make their dreams a reality; to teach people to stand up for themselves
and their beliefs; and to help
people become more authentic.
